The 1920s Flappers

The 1920s were a time of great change for women.

They had recently won the right to vote and began realising their own worth in society.

Clothing reflected how women were beginning to feel, the dresses became shorter exposing the calfs.

Women were smoking and enjoying a taste of Gin.

Also, the energetic dancing which some people were still offended by.

It was a time of glitz and glamour, women began to wear metallics.

They cut off their long hair and began wearing it in a bob style.

Make up was sultry and vampish.

Each bygone era has it's charm, but the decadence of the 1920s was quite revolutionary
